Did you book with us directly by sending an e-mail to hotel-maerthof@balehotels.ch or by calling us on +41 (0)61 466 15 15? Depending on your booking option, you may be able to cancel or alter your booking free of charge up until 6 p.m. on the day of your arrival. Simply contact us using the same method and we can clarify it.

If you booked directly on our website, you can just click on the confirmation number in your confirmation e-mail. You will then need to enter your last name as specified in your booking and you can call up your reservation right away. Any changes you make there will be confirmed in an e-mail.

If you booked through a third-party service such as HRS, Expedia or Booking, please get in touch directly with the contact person specified in your booking confirmation.

Your credit card details will be required if you arrive after 6 p.m., for trade fair or special event bookings and for bookings at reduced rates.

All major credit cards such as American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Diners Club are accepted. You can of course also pay by EC/Maestro card or cash.

You can reach all of our rooms leisurely via the lift.
We also have disabled-access rooms which can be reached easily via the Bohemia restaurant and then by lift. 

Our hotel is non-smoking. You can treat yourself to a leisurely smoking break on the terrace of the Bohemia restaurant facing Marktplatz or on the sixth floor with views of Basel.

For early (and hungry) birds, we offer a breakfast buffet in the Bohemia from 6.30 a.m. to 10 a.m. On Saturdays and Sundays, you can help yourself to the buffet from 7 a.m. up until 10.30 a.m. You can also fortify yourself for the day with the Bohemia Brunch from 9 a.m. or with à la carte options of bread, cheese, eggs, cereal, fruit and yoghurt through till 4 p.m.

Not sure if you'll want breakfast? You can of course also decide once you're at the hotel. However, you can enjoy discounted rates if you book breakfast when you reserve your room.

We offer plenty of vegetarian, gluten-free and lactose-free products. Simply talk to our service team and they will tell you which options are suitable for you.

Since our hotel is located in a pedestrianized zone, we do not have our own parking spaces.

However, the nearest secure parking spot for your vehicle can be found just around the corner in the Storchen multi-storey car park (2 minutes by foot), or you can park at our associated hotel, the Pullman Basel Europe in Kleinbasel (5 minutes by public transport). It is not possible to reserve a parking space in advance.

Your room will be ready for you from 3 p.m. Do you plan to arrive earlier? Don't worry – we would be happy to look after your luggage for you.

All rooms have ecological ceiling cooling, which ensures a comfortable room climate without draughts. You can regulate the temperature yourself individually by +/- 2 degrees.

Free ride! With the free BaselCard, you can use public transport in Basel free of charge. You can also access free Wi-Fi in various hotspots around the city and benefit from one-off discounts of 50% on a range of cultural and leisure attractions.
